Here's my latest work on the character model for Trancelich, the fungus creature. I've made significant progress since starting out, and what you see here is the result of extensive modeling and unwrapping efforts. To ensure a smooth and accurate unwrapping process, I applied a checkerboard texture to guide me every step of the way.
