Character Commission: Axe Lady
thingiverse
I created this second model for my coworker based on some of his daughter's artwork that she posts on Instagram at https://www.instagram.com/p/By-ryYKhCy3/. Initially, I envisioned it as a relatively simple print due to the axe acting as support, but it turned out to be quite challenging. My primary issue was the model's tiny footprint, which caused parts to shift during printing. Since I dislike using brims because they're difficult to remove, I slightly overlapped the bases of my support trees with her feet and the axehead, providing a large enough footprint for stability during printing and minimizing snipping compared to a full brim would have required.
