Chapman Stick non-angled belt hook pedestal
thingiverse
Default mounting angle for the Chapman Stick Railboard tapping instrument might cause wrist strain for some people, due to fingerboard rotation. This part is a replacement for the spacer/pedestal under the belt hook, non-angled version. This part keeps the original 9 degrees inclination "towards face", but removes another inclination which rotates fingerboard clockwise if you look from the headstock side towards pickups.Pedestal height is kept in the middle between left and right different heights that it had because of the angle. This means that this part would have about 4mm higher than a "sawed off" mod of the original part.Worked for my 10 Str Railboard stick, I have no idea if it is compatible with any other Stick variants.!! WARNING !! Pay attention to how deep screws go into the Stick - custom pedestal changes that depth for both screws a bit. There is no limiter beyond the Sticks body screw threaded hole. Only some space and after that - pickup. If screw goes too far into Stick's body it might push into pickup's unprotected bottom and damage it. For my Railboard the original screws do not push too far with this custom part, but double check on your own. It could be not cheap to repair.Quote from stickist forum, to describe the potential issue with other words:"Just be careful that if you put any new pedestal on that the screws don’t go thru and push up the pickup. I almost destroyed my pick up as the screws sent were too long and they pushed the pickup out of place but I fixed it so got lucky it didn’t break. That was scary."!! WARNING !!
