We painstakingly recreated 15th Century frescos at the Chapel of Santa Lucia of Stiacciaie in Montelaterone, a small town within the Commune of Arcidosso, nestled in Grosseto, Tuscany. A highly detailed 3D model was expertly crafted using Reality Capture's advanced capabilities, incorporating an impressive total of 23 FARO laser scans and an astonishing 1055 images. The Mt. Amiata Project represents a significant collaboration between faculty and students at the University of Florence and the University of Siena, working together in perfect harmony to achieve this incredible feat. We are deeply grateful for the invaluable support provided by the Municipality of Arcidosso, whose contributions were instrumental in making this project a reality.
