Chaoseater From Darksiders
thingiverse
I'm a huge fan of the series and have always wanted the replica sword. Unfortunately, it's no longer available in my country, so I've been searching online for a basic model to work with. After finding one, I modified it slightly to give it more honor to the original design. I'm currently working on scaling up the model to print on a large scale. While I'm not sure if it will be printable as is, I plan to break it down into smaller parts to make it easier to print in sections. For now, I'll share the full model with you. Once I've finished printing, I'll be using my Anet A8 3D printer, which has a build volume of 220x 220x 240mm. Just a heads up: this model will require some serious sanding to get it smooth! I also wanted to mention that the model has an interior structure, so be sure to check out the layer view before printing to avoid any issues. As for those who want to print on a larger scale, I've broken down the model into larger chunks for you. I'll start printing these pieces in the next couple of days. Before printing, I had to scale up the files by 15000% using Cura, which means the X-axis of a middle piece is now around 200mm. One important note: while I was able to create these files, another user, d2junkie, has updated them with a better internal structure and fixed some details. He's also included cavities for support material. If you'd like to use the improved versions, be sure to check out his remake on Thingiverse.
