I started with block in the middle of the figure then started building the top part of the channel slot then I mirrored it along the origin. The I extruded the slot on the top then again mirrored it along the origin. Lastly I was the make a cut in the back of the figure. I created a square to the correct dimension then extruded the square down the side of the figure.
