Changing PCB mechanical endstop from NO to NC

This is a Quick Guide to Swapping Red Endstop Switches for Safer CNC Operation. Why Bother? A false alarm triggered by an electrically noisy motor ramping up RPM led me to investigate alternative solutions. Running Normally Closed switches proved safer and more reliable, as the switch stays closed until switched open. This setup acts as a simple filter for noisy signals caused by motors changing RPM, reducing false alarms. Don't Forget: In my case, a setting in Grbl (inverse pin) changed how the controller sees the Endstop trigger, now triggering when open. Equivalent settings exist in other firmwares like Marlin. What You'll Need: A soldering iron with a small tip or chisel, hot air-rework if possible. A sharp pointed tool. A steady hand.
