As soon as fan-fiction emerged featuring Red and Blue from Alola, I saw an opportunity to channel my creativity by cosplaying the legendary trainer in all his glory. Red's iconic attire consists of a signature hat, a vibrant yellow backpack, and a bold shirt, which I sought to accurately replicate. The distinctive black bracer that graces Red's wrist fascinated me, inspiring me to design a replica that not only resembles its inspiration but also provides a functional twist. To bring this vision to life, I used elastic for the expanding mechanism, allowing my hand to slip effortlessly through the bracer's expandable framework. Red's authentic bracer boasts a diameter of approximately 3 inches and stands about 1.5 inches tall. With a bit of tweaking, you can scale up its size without compromising its integrity. The versatility of this design enables me to modify it seamlessly according to my desired proportions. To create the replica, print eight precise segments, carefully stringing them together with 0.75-inch elastic bands. Then, simply overlap and secure the final elastic strands, before skillfully trimming any excess material. By tucking it into one of the available loops, you can keep everything neat and tidy within your newly crafted bracer.
