Hailing from Estonia's capital, Tallinn, the Team Insero has developed a clamp designed for ease of assembly and features a simple design that ensures more dependable printing. Key attributes include a minimalist structure consisting of only two parts, easy attachment and detachment, and 3D-printable components using ABS with an FDM printer - all tested for reliability. To avoid layer failure between printed details, no load-bearing printed elements work in the same direction as the layer build-up. The clamp weighs 0.084 lbs or 37.9 g, has a volume of 2.27 in³ or 37,199 mm³, and measures 1.279 x 1.959 x 1.969 in or 32.5 x 49.8 x 50 mm. Only one print is necessary, considering ISS Additive Manufacturing Capability. The design meets several requirements, such as providing a rigid connection to the handrail, fitting within specified dimensions, rounding sharp edges, not needing additional tools or materials for assembly and disassembly, and featuring suitable mesh accuracy in STL files with attached STEP files. Printed details will use a (-45,45) layer build-up as shown in attached images.
