Chamfered hole connector for 8 can dispenser
thingiverse
I had trouble assembling the model. Mainly because printer first layer had a smaller hole(elephant foot) and I had trouble inserting a sharp edged peg in a sharp edged hole. It took me several days to figure out how chamfer a hole I found that any circular command could make a square by setting $fn = 4. I did a rotate_extrude to rotate a polygon with chamfer. I noticed the model is symmetrical in two directions decided to learn how to mirrors in openscad. I had to center the model. I decided to try polygon extrude instead of cube "difference"s. I found the methods randomly so I am wondering if I missed something simpler. Let me know in a comment. EDIT: I figured out there is a third symmetry. The top chamfer can be mirrored to the bottom. I added a 3mirror.scad only for curious openscad users. No other file changes. I have fun tinkering with openscad.
