I received permission from Francky3DDesign to post a remix of his incredible Deca Cube puzzle. This version has a couple of small changes to it. First, I wanted a "softer" look to it so I chamfered all of the corners. Printed in PETG, it offers a puzzle that is kid-friendly as it doesn't have any sharp corners - not that they will figure out how to put it together. Also, I flipped a couple of the pieces over so that the shiny side printed on the glass of my printer would all be outside faces. It provides a little bit more uniformity and, if you know to look for it, can also help in solving the puzzle. Also, I numbered the parts I 1-4 for "inside" pieces and O 1-6 for the "outside" pieces. I did this so that I could print the inside pieces with triangular infill and outside pieces with honeycomb infill in a clear filament. The infill pattern is another clue to give the solver if you give these as gifts (as I intend). This is a great puzzle and I'd love to learn how to create my own in Fusion 360. If you need help solving this, see the original post for some hints. The only hints you get from me are in the naming of the parts and the fact that all of the outside pieces print with the outside face against the build plate. When I printed this in PLA, I actually pulled the four inside pieces into Fusion360 and made a small 2mm circular cut that was .2mm deep on the bottom side. This put a barely noticeable dot outlined by the "shells" of it on the face of the print. If you knew to look for it, you could identify the inside pieces to get you started. A gift recipient will likely never notice those or realize their significance if you wish to give that as a later hint. If there is interest, I can include these "marked" pieces as well. Just don't get confused and print them in addition to the I1-I4, but rather instead of them.
