Human: Full Assembled Model of French Revolver on Bullet. The model is ideal for weapon mechanic animation, games, and visual education. The service revolver model 1873 Chamelot-Delvigne was the first double-action revolver used by the French Army. It was produced in about 337,000 copies from 1873 to 1887 at Manufacture d'armes de Saint-Étienne. Although replaced by the Modele 1892 revolver, it remained widely used during the First World War and issued to reserve units in 1940. The Resistance made widespread use of it during the Occupation. The model 1874, which was produced in 35,000 copies, is an officer's version with a lighter structure and darker finish than the model 1873. Many civilian versions were made in France and Belgium for sale. Both the 1873 and 1874 models use an 11mm cartridge that proved to have insufficient velocity. However, the weapons themselves are very reliable and resistant to damage. A Navy version was also produced with a more powerful cartridge, but production ceased when the regular ammunition stocks were depleted.
