This is a Mechanical Box with Lock Inspired by the Chamber of Secrets Door from Harry Potter. Please note that this model requires extensive assembly operations, and the assembly video is 1 hour long. Printing time is approximately 40 hours, resulting in a weight of around 320 grams (ABS). You will need to invest significant effort in gluing parts together, with the most challenging part being the snakes, which can be frustrating if you encounter problems at this stage. If I haven't deterred you yet, you'll likely be fine. As someone without extensive experience in complex assembly, I've made an effort to make this model easy to print and assemble, but it is time-consuming. You might want to consider printing everything at 50% scale to test the model before committing to a full-scale version. This model is quite large, requiring your bed to be at least 180mm x 180mm (7" x 7"). Printing is relatively straightforward, with almost all parts not requiring support, except for the snake heads and handle, which should be supported. You can print most parts at .2mm resolution, but the plate_high_resolution.stl file works better at .1mm resolution, resulting in smoother threads and better-looking snake heads. I've broken down small parts into individual files to allow you to print them separately, but if you need to reprint one particular object, check the all_objects.zip archive. You'll find all objects there. I've also included OpenScad source files (sources.zip), which you're free to remix for your needs.
