Chamber Heater

Compact 800W heater for your 3D printer enclosure, perfect for printing with high-temperature filament. Strip down two of these heaters to utilize their heating elements, fans, and brackets: https://smile.amazon.com/Portable-Mini-400-Watt-Personal-Ceramic-Desktop/dp/B07GSSMRQR One single unit worked well initially, but it couldn't sustain temperatures above 70C. Since two units don't fit neatly together, a new housing was created. An external temperature controller will be necessary, such as an ITC-1000 or modified Marlin firmware with chamber heat control. The PTC self-regulating heating elements in these units won't exceed 180C at their hottest point. After running for 30 hours at 85C chamber temperature, no issues have been encountered with nylon melting during printing. Future plans involve increasing the temperature, but first, the stepper motors need to be cooled. Higher flow fans may help keep the element temperature lower and make the PTC flow more current, thereby increasing average wattage and heating the chamber faster from a cold start.
