Challenger Cup Holder Insert
thingiverse
Inserts for the front cup holder of a 2012 Dodge Challenger are needed, as both cup slots are identical in size. Two inserts should be printed to ensure proper fitment. Although an extra 0.5mm could have been added for a better fit, the current design provides a very good fit as it is. However, if issues arise while using this insert, such as creating a vacuum that pulls the cup up with the insert, adjustments may need to be made. The insert could be printed slightly larger for a friction fit or texture could be added to the top to eliminate any vacuum. If necessary, updates will be made to the print. A small lift tab was designed onto the insert and prints fine on most printers, slowing down layer times slightly helps it turn out better. This feature is not critical but gives users something to grasp with needle-nose pliers if removal becomes stubborn. Twenty percent infill was used for printing, yet due to the material's thinness, infill plays a negligible role in its functionality. TPU was used as the printing material. If a rigid material is chosen instead, small size adjustments may be required.
