Challenge from the king is inspired by chess coins and Tanjore dolls, featuring a design that includes sections resembling chess coins, interchangeable tiles, thin king's symbol plates, and sharp edges at the top with an hemispherical bottom. The embedded extrusions in the bottom and sphere will test vacuum grippers, while the thin plates and gear-like shapes challenge parallel grippers; unique slipping shapes can also be used. A pointed tip at the top and ellipsoid structures test three finger grippers. This design allows for tiles of different materials or shapes to be held, like a wooden curved piece or granite, making gripping tasks difficult while maintaining easy production through methods such as injection moulding or 3D printing. The model's hollow interior saves material and allows for custom filling if needed. Dimensions can easily be altered using parametric software (Creo Parametric 2.0). The creator eagerly awaits feedback from judges and the community.
