Chalks Support

Chalks Support

thingiverse

This piece is the third design I've created in FreeCAD, and the third one in the "01 Series." It serves to hang a basic slate of chalks between the drawing surface and the frame by using an end that's 1 mm thick. This allows me to keep my eraser and chalks handy for painting. This piece is a bit more complicated than the previous ones, so I haven't been able to properly round off the edges. Some of them won't fit with the surrounding pieces, which makes it difficult to smooth out the edges afterwards. I'm still learning how to use FreeCAD, as I've only had 4 days of experience. I designed this piece using FreeCAD, Repetier Host, and Slic3r, and then printed it on a BQ Prusa I3. If you want to see more details about the print job, you can check out the "Printing Statistics" file for information on time, weight, and filament usage. The Slic3r print profile I used is available in the "Rapido" file.
