This piece of pottery with a chakana incised was found in the center of a Manteña house with stone foundations in the Rio Blanco forest in the province of Manabí. It was found associated with a piece of zoomorphic figurine, a Manteño oven and the burial of a dog. This work is the result of the 2018 field school for archaeology at Florida Atlantic University. Directed by Valentina Martínez with assistance from Tasia Scott, Colin Waldron, Danny Rodolfo Manrique, and Andrés Garzón-Oechsle.
