One of our dining room chairs was missing slider feet on its legs. We have tried many commercial sliders, both stick on and nail on with no success. Today I designed a simple solution in OpenSCAD. I matched the dimensions of the sliders on other chairs to ensure all chairs sit at the same height. I printed the sliders in red ABS and attached them with small tack nails. They slide smoothly. Strength is crucial since these parts experience significant stress when someone sits in the chair. How I Designed This I designed this part in OpenSCAD based on original slider dimensions. I used OpenSCAD to design the part. The source code is included for reference. If you need a similar part with different dimensions, simply adjust the parameter variables at the top of the file, re-render, and export the STL.
