Chair Glides
thingiverse
I relish tackling real-world challenges with my 3D printer. When I began printing with nylon, I chose to restore some of our furniture. Many of the glides on the legs' ends were missing, so I measured, designed them in 123Design and then printed them on my Taz 5. They turned out remarkably well. The glide for the Cesca Chair features holes for zip ties. We've always struggled keeping glides on this chair's bottom. I uploaded other end pieces used on outdoor furniture. Print Settings Printer Brand: LulzBot Printer: TAZ 5 Rafts: Yes Supports: No Resolution: Standard Infill: 30 Notes: The nylon warped and didn't adhere well to my PEI bed, so I applied a brim and a coating of diluted Elmer's Glue. The nylon was Taulman Bridge Nylon. My hot end was set at 240 degrees and the bed at 100.
