Chainstay Protector

Chainstay Protector

thingiverse

Playing around with flexible filament, I decided to create a chainstay protector inspired by the latest Specialized designs. The protector follows the S-shaped contour of my chainstay - yours might be slightly different, so keep that in mind. The raised bumps should make it relatively quiet. However, I'm not entirely sure about its durability, so feel free to test it out and see how it holds up. If you're not satisfied, don't worry - just print another one and experiment with the infill percentage, top and bottom layer count, and wall thickness to find the perfect combination for your needs. I secured this protector to the frame using some pretty sticky double-sided tape, but zip ties would also work well.
