Chainstay Guard for Factor Ostro
thingiverse
Even though the Factor Ostro V.A.M. comes with a metal plate on the chain stay, I feel it's positioned a bit too high. In order to close up the gap between the small chain ring and the chain stay and therefore add more protection against chain suck, I've designed this chain stay guard. With a well adjusted derailleur and correct chain length, this shouldn't be necessary, but I had a chain suck on a bike before (due to a pot hole) where the manufacturer did without any protector... let's just say: I won't take any chances with this frame :) I've approximated the longitudinal curvature to the best of my abilities, and it works with my frame size 54. I'm not sure about other sizes though! I'll attach the .stp-files so you can have a try on your own in case it doesn't quite fit your frame Disclaimer: While I provide all data and information to the best of my knowledge, I take no responsibility for any damage - whether to your accessories, bike or body! If you choose to install printed parts to your bike, that's entirely on you!
