This adapter fits snugly on 11oz cans of Dupont Chainsaver aerosol chain lube for bicycles. If you want a tighter fit, I've added a set screw hole that accepts a 3mm x 30mm screw. To install the set screw, push it in from the left side and it should thread into the undersized hole on the right side by itself. Chainsaver works well and is affordable, but Amazon stopped selling the 32oz jug, so I've resorted to using spray cans on everything instead. This adapter makes applying the lube easier. Update: February 10, 2018 Version 1 of this adapter worked technically, but it ended up spraying the lubricant all over the floor instead of onto the bike chain. Also, I couldn't see if any fluid was coming out because it got stuck inside the adapter. I made some changes in version 2 that greatly improved its usability. I recommend printing this adapter in a color other than white, as it's hard to see the lubricant when it's clear. Green or light blue would be good options. This version took almost three times longer to print than the first one, taking around six hours at 50mm/s speed. There are still some areas for improvement, such as relaxing the can angle to 22.5 degrees and adding a curved backstop for the chain, but I don't plan on implementing those changes. For this version, you'll need a 3mm x 15mm screw and nut. Update: August 11, 2018 The stock spray nozzle doesn't hold the straw very well, so I replaced it with one from an air duster. This works much better now. I'm currently eyeing another duster with a trigger that's closer to the can, which would make it easier to hold. This adapter gets dirty really quickly because of all the grease from the chain. The white PLA material isn't a problem, but the background turns into a greasy black color after use. Update: May 12, 2019 Version 3 My old print ended up missing, so before printing a new one, I remixed the design and relaxed the can angle to 22.5 degrees. When using an air duster trigger, this version doesn't seem much different from version 2, but it does use less filament. You'll still need a 3mm x 15mm screw and nut for this version.
