Chainmail Fabric (Customizable)
thingiverse
This script allows you to create custom OpenSCAD designs for chainmail fabric patches. The main script is ChainmailV3.scad, where you can import the "design" scad file. Draw your design in this file, set its X and Y dimensions, and it's ready. In the main script, a "Detect" variable helps you render specific parts of the fabric. Save each part separately by changing the "Detect" value to match the next part. The chainmail links are my original designs, but they were inspired by ideas found on Thingiverse. Additionally, there is a "split" link piece that can be used to sew larger patches together if needed. This link creates six 2-part chainmail pieces that you can glue between two fabrics and then assemble into a bigger patch.
With this file you will be able to print Chainmail Fabric (Customizable) with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Chainmail Fabric (Customizable).
