ChainClip Construction Set

ChainClip Construction Set

Hi! This is a versatile construction kit. You can create bracelets, two-dimensional and three-dimensional geometric patterns, robots, ships, animals, or anything you can imagine. The end results are mechanized, articulated objects connected by chains. While attempting to design a simple joint for articulated figures printed in PLA, it evolved into a set of parts that can be combined to make various figures and forms. Eventually, I will design additional parts, props, and more. For now, this is the basic kit. Feel free to print, redesign, or create new parts and share your projects. Have fun! EDIT: The 123Design file used for this project has been uploaded. The previous submission was only for extra parts. Print Settings: Printer: BQ Prusa i3 Hephestos Rafts: Not necessary Supports: Not required Resolution: 0.2 mm or less Infill: 50% or more Notes: Tested with PLA filament. A resolution of 0.2 mm works well, and an infill of 50% or more is recommended. Scales: Tested at 100%, 70%, and 50% scales with a resolution of 0.2 mm, and prints perfectly. For smaller scales, use a resolution of 0.1 mm. More chain clips can be found here... See also...
