The goal of my chain link project was to create something that could be printed as a single piece and then easily connected to other pieces. This initial attempt was successful, but I had to remove two links from the final model because they overlapped during printing and snapped apart when I broke away the raft. Although each link isn't perfectly clean, partly due to their small size and the large scale of our 3D printed file, we were unable to sand them down further since we didn't have any sandpaper. Based on what I've learned from this model, I believe it should be possible to print rotating parts in one continuous piece using support material to hold everything together.
