Chain Tool Replacement Handle

A 3D printable Bicycle Chain Breaker Tool Replacement Handle to reuse the surviving parts from a common cast aluminum chain breaker. "Casted” chain breaker tool handles seem to break easily. However, the two bolts which actually break the chain link usually survive. Therefore, I decided to try to print a new handle that uses the bolts from the broken part, to see if it would even work. Lo and behold, it does! At least I was able to use the replacement printed handle a few times since I made it. Included is a second stl for a 10mm hex bolt wing socket to facilitate adjustment of the 10mm hex bolt. The parts can be easily 3D printed, without any support, on a modern inexpensive 3D Printer. They can be printed with a variety of materials, including PETG, ABS, ASA and many other types of strong and durable printable materials. PLA did not work for me because it is too brittle. Also, my bicycle tools are sometime stored or kept in a high temperature environment, exceeding ~55 C (~ 130 F). I live in Florida – Think of a parking lot in mid-summer. PETG has worked well so far for this application. It is easy to print, heat resistant and flexible just enough to tolerate minor mistakes with the tool. However please be aware that with this tool handle, “Your mileage may vary!”
