Chain Slack Tool - KTM 8mm to 10mm
thingiverse
Position your bike so that the rear wheel is elevated off the ground. Measure 8mm to 10mm of chain slack from the bottom of the swingarm on early model KTM dirt bikes. (1) Position a tool at the back of the chain slider, resting it on the bottom of the swingarm and ensuring it is square with the back of the chain slider. (2) Push up on the chain to remove excess slack as you align it with the alignment post. Rotate the wheel forward or backward if necessary for proper alignment. (3) Look through the sight windows in the tool to check if the top of the chain appears within view. If so, the chain slack meets specifications. (4) Adjust the chain according to your owner’s manual and repeat steps above if your chain is not within specs.
