Chain shackles for bucket attachment with DIN 764/766 chain ends. - Forged with C45 or alloy steel for the 2H class, and CrMo / NiCrMo alloy steel for the 3H, 3HS, 3HX and S3/S4 classes, entirely quenched up to a material tensile strength of 1000 N/mm2 (2H) – 1200 N/mm2 (3H, 3HS, 3HX and S4);- Highly wear resistant hanks to a special hardening process in the area of contact with the chain (induction hardening); - Each shackle is carefully tested to check its surface quality; - Heat treatments are selected to strengthen the fatigue resistance of the pieces; - Proof and breaking forces with closed shackle are equal or exceeding the corresponding forces of the largest chain which can be coupled (see table); - DIN 5699 shackles are reinforced and allow better operating safety results, breaking and fatigue resistance with respect to DIN 745 shackles.Buckets are attached at a distance from the chain which is larger than in the case of DIN 745 shackles. The threaded shanks are long enough to fit the locking plate with a nut and a counter nut for a safe locking of the shackle. - We recommend the use of adequate distance plates with calibrated holes to preserve the resistance of the piece. - Available also special shackles HFR with high fatigue resistance, featuring a special hardening process and a high precision reinforced plate
