The given "long" chain measures 44 inches when stretched. The file, chain_8_large_120828c.zip, contains larger .stl files that require more time to print. These files are zipped due to their large sizes. All objects fit easily onto a 100mm by 100mm build platform with extra space. The large chain print dimensions are X 89mm by Y 89mm, fitting most platforms. The large chain mail measures X 79mm by Y 89mm. A newer version, mail_8_very_large_130315b.stl, was added with two additional rows of links in each direction. Cymon is thanked for recommending binary files, leading to the deletion of previous ASCII files. The .stl file chain_8_large_120828c_nf.stl contains a 43 link chain (2.42 Mb). Other available files include chain_8_short_120829a.zip (7 link chain), mail_8_large_120828a_nf.stl (56 link chain mail, 3.15 Mb), mail_8_large_120828a_connected_nf.stl (56 link chain mail with connected rows, 3.15 Mb), mail_8_small_120827c.zip (10 link chain mail sample), and mail_8_large_120828a_connected_nf.stl (10 link chain mail sample with connected rows). Sketchup files, chain_8_120829b.skp (short and long chains) and mail_8_120829b.skp (chain mail versions), are also available.
