Chain Link Master
grabcad
The Extreme Redesign Challenge involved Ethan Jacot from Grand Haven High School, Grand Haven Michigan, under the guidance of instructor Jeremy Case. He designed The Chain Link Master, a compact tool aimed at assisting companies and teams in FIRST to easily attach master links on chains. This innovative design requires only one person, unlike traditional methods that need two to three individuals. To use it, insert the section where the master link will be placed, then thread the first part through the chain and position it two or three links away. Finally, tighten the nut on the backside to secure the chain in place, preventing movement. The Chain Master can be manufactured using Stereolithography 3D printing due to its speed and affordability.
