I ride my road bike to university and work, which has made me not a fan of black stripes on my pants. Since I couldn't find a commercially available chain guard that fits my Tiagra crank, nor one that could be printed to fit my bike, I designed this chain guard myself. It features Inbus pins that get thicker towards the base, allowing them to be securely inserted into the chain ring bolts. To align the pins with the bolts, you'll need to turn the bolts slightly, which may take a bit of trial and error, but once they're aligned, the guard will easily slide in place. A few gentle taps with a hammer help secure it further. The cutout around the crank was necessary due to my printbed's size limitations; I needed at least 220x220mm to print this in one piece. I've printed this chain guard in PLA and used it daily for nearly half a year without any issues. It stays securely in place and effectively protects my pants from damage, although it can't prevent my trousers from touching the chain behind the crank if they're very wide.
