I modified one of the original designs to fit a smaller axle size that my neighbor uses for his quick release road bike. The modified design is sized at 10.1 mm and features a unique identifier, making it distinguishable from other versions. I also added a number to the 12 mm through axle version to prevent confusion between the two. After testing the 12 mm version on my Specialized, I was pleased with its performance. Using PLA material, I printed four perimeters at 50% infill and set the nozzle to .3 mm for a course finish. To avoid any potential bed issues, I printed each item on a raft, which also provides a nice backing surface for the teeth. The prints turned out quickly and looked good, although they would benefit from a higher resolution setting. Nevertheless, they will likely become worn and develop an oily appearance over time. As this project is still in progress, I may consider adding other "standards" if they become necessary.
