Cetus 3D MK1 Initial Type Filament Feeder Guide A critical component is a bearing with an inner diameter of 3 mm, outer diameter of 7 mm, and thickness of 3 mm. Unfortunately, ABS printing is necessary for the initial prototype. Please print this model first on another printer. For Afinia H480 - Print options: Quality [ Fine ] v1.00: This version uses a screw with an 8 mm length and M3 threading. Be cautious when handling the bearing during installation as it is not secured at that time. The durability of this component is comparable to its genuine counterpart. v1.01: A revised version utilizing a 10 mm length screw with M3 threading was released due to issues with strength. v1.02: To prevent bearings from falling during installation, a modification was made to allow for smoother movement. v1.03: The inner diameter of the bearing was expanded from 3.1 mm to 3.2 mm to facilitate easier passage of the component. v1.04: A minor adjustment was made by scraping 0.1 mm off the bearing due to excessive friction against the stepping motor. v1.05: To prevent over-insertion, the M3-10 mm screw was reduced by 0.2 mm. v1.06: Strength was increased through a redesign that included hole drilling for air cooling and modifications inspired by the remodeled MK2 model. The filament in MK1 is positioned closer to the stepping motor than in MK2, making temperature control more challenging. v1.10: An M3 nut was installed at the filament insertion port, but since it hits the stepping motor, further processing is required. v1.12: To address issues with M3 nut dropout, glue is recommended as a solution. The recent purchase of MK2 revealed a filament feeder specifically designed for MK1. It's possible that this version underperformed due to reliability concerns related to its design. A nylon lock nut is suggested for better performance and durability, although sharpening may be required using a vise and file.
