Cessna Parking Brake
thingiverse
This is a completely redesigned [Cessna Style Parking Brake](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4311744) however it solves some fundamental issues I had with the original. 1. realism - The Cessna parking brake actually points left when disabled, not right. This design fixes that. My simulator focuses on realism, so this was a deal breaker for me. 2. size - The pull was extremely short in my opinion, so I extended the pull to several inches. 3. fixability - The original design called for rubber bands, however if it broke it would require tearing apart the mechanism to repair it. This design uses a spring, and nothing is glued. Everything is connected using a few m3 screws. Body: Add a brim, 4 layer body, 20% infill, and print diagonally on 200mm beds. Shaft: Print on a raft to keep it perfectly round. 4 layer body 40% infill. Cap: 20% infill, brim optional. Handle: Use [this one](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4311744) 20% infill, 4 layers. I printed this in Black ABS on PEI. 230c. 100c bed on first layer, 92c after. Avoid drafts when printing the body. If you use ABS it can shrink and detach from the bed.
