The Cessna O-1E/L-19 Bird Dog was originally designed by Cessna for the US Army's observation and liaison needs. This aircraft gained significant prominence during the Vietnam War. Upon retirement, many of these planes were transferred to the Civil Air Patrol for search and rescue operations. However, due to a series of accidents involving CAP Bird Dogs, they were eventually sold to private owners. Today, most of these aircraft are owned by private individuals, featured in flying museums or displayed statically at various aviation museums. This model is available in several formats, suitable for diverse users and can be employed in in-flight or airport ground animations, video productions, or simulations. The model boasts animated control surfaces, including ailerons, flaps, elevators, rudder and propeller, as well as animated landing gear retraction, doors, and wheels. It is built to scale, maintaining 97% of the aircraft's general dimensions, and offers multiple liveries for customization.
