Cerwin Vega 1215 15" protection

I needed some protection for my 1984 rear 15" so I designed this custom grille to shield it from harm. The front grille sits perfectly flush with the front of my vehicle, while the rear one attaches snugly on the outside for added security. This design has been test fitted on a European model 1215 Mk2 special edition and seems to work seamlessly - but I'm curious to know if other versions have similar configurations.
