These are spare gaskets for Ceriani lathe swallowtail guides that were designed with assembly and attachment in mind. They consist of two parts which need to be assembled and then secured to the lathe's carriage using CA glue. Both parts should also be bonded together with CA glue for a strong hold. The gasket is printed with TPU, while the part that gets glued onto the profile is made from PLA material. To print a complete set of gaskets, you will need to print one gasket as an STL file and its mirror image, along with two identical rigid parts. For optimal results when printing the TPU gasket part, I used Simplify3D with these settings: Nozzle temperature was set to 225 degrees, using FFFWorld's black TPU material. Layer height is 0.1 millimeters. The bed temperature was set to 35 degrees Celsius. Infill density is 100 percent for maximum strength. The fan speed was set to 30 percent for optimal cooling. The nozzle diameter was set to 0.4 millimeters, but it's actually 0.3 millimeters in the slicer software. Flow rate was set to 1.25 grams per second. Print speed is 15 millimeters per second.
