Cereal Box Instrument
thingiverse
I conceived the idea by scrutinizing Cereal Box Townhouse (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:163746) and musical instrument toys. My intention was to avoid devoting hours just to print a"box" that promotes resonance without exerting much effort. Here are the guidelines: Simply print both parts, then cut a hole in a cardboard box that accommodates the middle so both parts compress into the cardboard. A small amount of glue can be applied because I'm using a solidoodle with no fan and didn't print well the tiny parts inserted into holes. Tighten or loosen the strings as you prefer or wrap rubber bands around them.
