Cerberus

Cerberus

thingiverse

In Greek mythology, the monstrous multi-headed dog known as Cerberus is the "hound of Hades". This fearsome creature guards the gates of the Underworld to prevent the dead from escaping. Born to the terrifying monsters Echidna and Typhon, Cerberus is typically described with three heads, a serpent tail, and snakes emerging from various parts of his body. His legendary capture by Heracles is one of the renowned twelve labours completed by this demigod hero. Cerberus' appearance varies in different accounts, including the number of heads he possesses. While often depicted as a three-headed dog, this isn't always the case. Interestingly, Cerberus has multiple multi-headed relatives. His father, Typhon, was a serpent-headed giant, and Cerberus is also related to the Lernaean Hydra, Orthrus, and the Chimera - all of whom are known for their extraordinary number of heads. The model consists of mirrored arms, feet, legs, and other parts that can be adjusted in a 3D slicer for printing. When time permits, these individual components will be printed in a single orientation. This highly detailed model is fully articulated, allowing it to move freely.
