Human Models of pottery from Fayum, Hemamieh, Maadi and Merimda Beni-Salama were created using precise measurements from each vessel. Calculations based on these models determined the volume of vessels and exterior surface areas. These ancient pots are now housed in numerous museums worldwide: the British Museum, Bolton Museum, Institute of Egyptology, University of Vienna's Institute of Prehistoric and Historical Archaeology, Manchester Museum at the University of Manchester, Medelhavsmuseet in Stockholm, the University of Cambridge's Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology, and the Petrie Museum. The method used to create these models and results of their analysis are published in: Emmitt, J.J. (2017) "Neolithic Pottery of Egypt: Investigating Settlement Patterns in Middle Holocene Northeast Africa with Ceramics" Ph.D. thesis, University of Auckland.
