Ceramic Clay Gun Test Tile Extruder DIe

This will print a 53 mm wide, 5 mm high die that can be used in a hand held clay gun to extrude clay in a shape that can be cut up to make glazing test tiles. Of course these test tiles are rather small since the diameter of hand held clay guns is about 51 mm (2 inches). The test tile will have a nice crisp top edge to test breaking, and it has 2 parallel lines on either side to test texture. I happen to have the Scott Creek extruder and it works perfectly in that. I compared the die to some purchased dies that are from Nidec-Shimpo and it appears that this die is about 2 mm wider than the Shimpo die, so I'm not sure if it will work with that clay gun as is. However it is super easy to sand this down - it truly wouldn't take more than a few minutes. I printed this with a resin printer (Elegoo Saturn) using water washable resin and it was plenty strong enough for the job. No idea if it will work with a filament printer.
