Centurion Helmet 3D Scan
myminifactory
This is a scaled-up 3D scanned Roman Centurion Helmet, meticulously crafted by the Artec team using their cutting-edge Artec Spider 3D scanner. The small bronze helmet of a Roman soldier was skillfully scanned with precision and accuracy by the Artec Spider 3d scanner. To perfect the model, I employed MeshMixer's advanced tools, scaling it up, orienting it to perfection, and smoothing out certain mesh areas using a smooth brush. This process resulted in a refined and detailed digital representation of the original artifact. In order to capture the vibrant colors of the helmet, I utilized my Artec Studio software, saving a color model that I then uploaded here as a zip file. Unfortunately, other software like MeshMixer failed to produce color output, but the OBJ file should now be viewable with ease. For those interested in viewing the original color scan, it can be accessed through 3D viewing platform ViewShape at https://viewshape.com/shapes/bpnf3tcdwzq.
