Centrifuge Rotor 50ml
thingiverse
This is a centrifuge rotor built to hold 50ml plastic tubes. My purpose is to spin yeast vials for homebrewing, allowing me to pour off trub from washed samples with precision. It can be attached to a drill press, providing adjustable RPMs for optimal results. To attach it, insert a 1/4"-20 threaded rod into the chuck and secure one nut on top of the rotor while having another nut and washer in place underneath. Required parts include: * A 3" or longer 1/4"-20 rod stock * Two 1/4"-20 nuts * One large 1/4"-20 washer Print settings used: * Printer brand: RepRap * Printer model: i3 * Rafts: Not used * Supports: None required * Resolution: .2mm * Infill percentage: 25% Design notes: I created this design using SketchUp and printed it in PLA with Cura. The print settings were optimized for two shells, a 1mm top thickness, and a 1mm bottom thickness.
