The concept for this project was to serve as a coolant pump for a lathe, drawing from existing designs to create an improved and more efficient water pump. By utilizing PLA printing materials with a rubber seal, I successfully created a functional prototype that was thoroughly tested. The motor design centered around a 28mm diameter shaft with a 2.2mm thickness, while the water output was achieved through a 5mm hose adapter, similar to those found on fish tank bubble tubes. To secure the assembly, I tapped 4mm holes to accommodate M4 bolts, allowing for a straightforward installation into plastic components. Print Settings: Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.1-0.3 Infill: 100% Notes: In order to prevent water leakage from the sides, it is essential that infill be set at 100%.
