I designed this impeller specifically for my dust extractor setup as you can see in the video, which shows it mounted on top of a Miele washing machine motor that's speed-controlled to max out at 500W and 3000 RPM. At that point, the impeller is really drawing air in effectively. You can check out the YouTube video of it in action here: https://youtu.be/z-ONTdbmlRU This design features a 10mm shaft running through it and I could probably modify and scale up the model if you're interested. Feel free to share any tips you have! The cuts on the base are intended to help with printing, reducing warping in the process. I actually printed it with relatively low infill and 1.2mm walls - it was a bit nerve-wracking when spinning up for the first time, but so far, so good! Don't ask me about the static pressure or other technical details though; I just looked at compressor impellers and tried to figure it out from there. There's some information online about forward/radial/reverse blade styles, but if there's a definitive guide on how to implement them, I couldn't find it anywhere. Not even simple questions like whether the flow area should be constant get answered. So, I printed two smaller test impellers and found that the one without a constant cross-section had the highest airflow. The inside of the impeller shows its blades; the second set has an aerofoil shape to them.
