Centrifugal Force Puzzle
thingiverse
This is a childhood puzzle design that still holds up today. The three interconnected pieces fit together seamlessly to form a perfect circle. Check out this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zrF1JjCRyI4 for a closer look. Separating the pieces requires a simple yet clever move: inserting a pencil or similar object into the central hole and turning it counterclockwise causes the disc to disassemble instantly! The model is fully parameterized, making it easy to modify with the included OpenSCAD file. I found that setting the horizontal part separation to 0.5 mm produced the best results; however, a tighter fit was achieved with 0.3 mm. To print this design, I laid it flat on the print bed with full supports. In Slic3r, I set the Z-distance to 0.10 mm to achieve a smoother, flatter bottom surface.
