Centrifugal Fidget Spinner

Centrifugal Fidget Spinner

I'm adding to the oversupply of fidget spinners but they're extremely popular among friends and I haven't seen any like them, so here they are. Personally, I prefer the straight version, but everyone else likes the look of the curved one better. Also, a blurry photo shows one with multiple balls per arm - go wild if you want to try it. These fidget spinners use 3/8 inch steel balls that are easily available online and often sold as sling shot ammo. If there's a metric equivalent near 9.5mm, let me know and I'll add a version for that. They use the standard 608 bearings. I recommend printing these in PETG or ABS (or polycarbonate) because PLA breaks too easily when they're inevitably dropped. The original design is available from Onshape at: https://cad.onshape.com/documents/875db54227b46569bce5cf3b/w/a9bc86a3641cb628e7b220ea/e/7eb588195532bac4b3c91d07 There are a couple of other designs there that work but aren't as fun. Use whichever spinner caps you like - I'm showing my favorites: www.thingiverse.com/thing:2204246 by scotty13 and my new favorite: www.thingiverse.com/thing:2314895 by vlevit I've added a version for 8mm balls by request, but it's untested. A version for 1/2 inch balls has also been added by request - it's VERY UNTESTED and I don't recommend making it unless you already have the 1/2" balls and want to give it a try. Based on a make by McUsher, the hub on this one was too thin. A revised version with a thicker hub has been added. I'm not deleting the old version until the new one is confirmed as working. Based on cbsarka's make, the revised 1/2" version works. The old version has been deleted.
