Centrifugal fan duct for Vector3 3D Printer
thingiverse
I created this custom fan shroud for the Vector3 3D Printer from Eaglemoss, replacing the weak fans that came with the magazine kit. The new setup allows for hassle-free printing without supports or minimizes support material to only touch the build plate. I sourced the fan unit from Amazon, a 24V 50mm centrifugal fan and 40mm axial fan twin pack by HICTop. While other fans may work, I can't guarantee their compatibility since the fan duct press fits snugly inside the fan exhaust. Assembly is straightforward: the plate and duct are designed to press fit together, while the duct clicks into place within the fan's exhaust. Secure them with a nut or bolt through the top fan screw hole, then attach the entire assembly to the print head using a self-tapping screw through the bottom fan screw hole into the bottom right post of the printer. Print Settings: Printer: Vector3 Rafts: No Supports: Doesn't Matter Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 20% This design was crafted in Fusion360.
