Summary: Custom Center Main Gear Replacement for Remote Control Buggy 4-Wheel Drive. Instructions: I replaced my original gear, which was stripped, by creating a new one using Inventor 2012. The custom gear features a 5 mm hole in the center and accommodates an 11mm steel bush on the inside. It also includes a space for a Ferodo pad with 52 teeth on the outside. To build this custom gear, I experimented with two different methods, both utilizing Thingiverse support structures: one standing upright and the other lying flat with the Ferodo side facing upwards. However, I found that removing support in both cases was extremely challenging. The successful build, as seen in the picture, was achieved on a Dimension BST768 3D printer with breakaway support. The resulting finish was flawless. Based on this experience, I recommend reviewing your support settings to ensure optimal results.
